Dates for your Diaries
We have been busy planning at POY HQ so that you can have the most vibrant and beautiful 2016 possible. We have a few dates that we would love for you to pencil into your diaries:
- Early January we will be hosting a Vision day to help focus your visions and your goals – think of it like a day to create New Year’s resolutions for you, your business and your future – dates and times will be confirmed soon
- Our next Beautiful Business Workshop will take place on Friday the 29th of January at West Brewery, Glasgow. This event is free for our Ambassadors and reserve your place here
- POY will be represented at India’s largest Startup Festival, Construkt between the 24th and 28th of February in Bangalore
- RICAP, for our alumni, will take place between the 2nd and 3rd of April in the beautiful Hertfordshire countryside – get your earlybird tickets now!

–We are so pleased to be partnering with Scottish Startups for a great big Christmas party and we will announce more information about this event within the next couple of days.
InspirationMo Abushaaban has launched Munch Together, which is, in simple terms a version of AirBnB for food. The purpose of this incredible idea is not only to share food and create memories, but also to build bridges between people in their communities. Their first Munch happened in Frankfurt on the 28th of November and if any of you Edinburgh lot are keen to be involved in the next one – it is happening on the 16th of January.
–Callum Murray, after quite a month last month, won the Wild Card EDGE Fund prize. It has been amazing to follow your journey so far and we look forward to hearing what’s next.
–Craig Johnston, of Kitsch Drinks fame, whose soda’s seems to be everywhere we look here in Edinburgh, not only became a Young Edge winner at the Festival of Entrepreneurship, but was also a winner of the live pitching competition there on the day. Huge and very well deserved congratulations.
Matthew Vaccaro has written an incredible article about his experience so far in Pakistan where he has been on placement with the EY Vantage Program. There he has been working with Zafar Khan from Sofizar;
The wonderful Andrew Dobbie won Entrepreneur of the Year at WeDO Scotland awards dinner. Incredibly well done and hats of all round to you.

Huge wows and congratulations to Naysun al-Carew and his almighty team at Blazing Griffin for winning a Bafta for their game Distant Star: Revenant Fleet. This photo makes us so happy.
Maikel Beerens, founder of Xilloc Medical has moved to Brightlands – an incredible place that focuses on breakthroughs in health, nutrition and materials. There he will focus on the development and 3D-printed patient specific implants. You are doing incredible stuff and to find out more – check out this video.
POY Open Office Afternoon
On the afternoon of the 4th of December we are opening our the doors to our office at 44 Constitution street for an opportunity to catch up, collaborate and hang out for an afternoon.
